Shopping at the market can be fun, but also good for you, your family, local farmers, vendors and the community.
Some reasons may include:
✓ The freshest foods are available and fresh means better health for you.
✓ You can meet the farmer who grew your food and they can tell you the best ways to prepare the produce you purchase.
✓ You can save money, especially on organic produce.
✓ Farmers markets provide a livelihood for many farmers.
✓ In order to manage a traditional farmers market in the 21st century, we need Friends like you.
✓ Our operation is possible with the support of groups and individuals who share our vision of farmers markets as the nexus of community.
✓ We accept financial contributions from individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in farmers markets. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of IRS 501(c)(3) law.
.
Blairstown Farmers Market is grateful for the generous support provided by our volunteers, who help make the market possible.
Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to become more involved in the market and to support our local food system and our local farmer.
There are a number of volunteer opportunities, all promising fun and camaraderie. Scheduling is flexible, and you do not have to commit for the entire season.
